About Us
LifeQuest Christian Counseling Services, Inc., is a not for profit ministry staffed by licensed professional clinical counselors, licensed pastoral counselors, and lay counselors who are experienced and have a God inspired desire to assist people who are experiencing emotional and spiritual hurt. We at LifeQuest recognize that people who suffer in these areas and remain untreated often develop physical problems. Therefore, our goal is to counsel the whole person to help to bring about a change that glorifies God, and is beneficial to man.
We believe that God has a plan giving purpose to every person, assigning to each one of us infinite value and worth. Because of this, we have a solid and lasting foundation on which to base our personal self-worth and human value. When we see ourselves as God sees us, we no longer need be held captive or made subject to the deception and self-striving that we learn in and from our environment. It is misbelief and the inability to see ourselves as God sees us which produces a false and damaging sense of self that changes with every failure, disappointment, and mood.
Our task in counseling is to teach biblical principles, replacing misbelief with truth. The person who receives counseling becomes better able to know, think, and live victoriously over weaknesses, bad habits, neurosis and sin, and will attain real and lasting freedom from the results of uncontrolled harmful behavior.
The Christian counseling method we use in ministering to our clients here at LifeQuest Christian Counseling Services, Inc., represents the joining of two streams. One is from the science of psychology, and the other from the Holy Scripture. We look forward to rejoicing with our clients in the inner healing, joy and liberation that is attained by hearing and believing the truth.
